Message from Chairmen, Mr. Y.C Yen

In recent years, our company has gone through growths and changes under the concept of sustainable development, while we have experienced an era full of ups and downs and uncertainties. The year 2019 is a year that we need to face with care and cautions, as we have encountered the largest global headwind since the financial turmoil.


With a history of more than 40 years, Taiway Electronics Components Co. Ltd. has always insisted on pragmatic and professional business operations to serve customers and create value. All our employees who share and uphold this view have done their great jobs by carrying out research and development for new products, making wonderful products, and meeting quality by delivering on time.


As the company's internationalization increasingly turns an important issue, the more difficult it has become to meet customer requirements home and abroad. Again and again, we are tested by international big players in the market, forcing us to make up our mind to undergo reforms for better organisation and process. We optimize process and flows, present new products that we have competitive advantages, continuously improve product quality, enhance employee skills and reallocate resources – by doing all these, we hope to quickly respond to market changes while we provide better customer experience.


In the past few years, I have observed that in the face of changes and pressures in the customer environment, customers ask for far better quality while requirements in environmental care have also increased. The speed of new products on the market also needs to catch up with the needs of key market customers such as new applications and end-user commodities. Therefore, all employees shall realize that the environment is changing, and their work ability needs to be upgraded to adapt to what happens in reality.


Considering the long-term sustainable and sound development of the company, we, in team efforts as a whole, shall reach the following consensus:
1.    The company relies on all employees to maintain good performance of operation.
2.    In order to adapt to the international environment and quality requirements, we shall never stop actively and innovatively thinking about products and processes when it comes to continuous improvement.
3.    To achieve success in process reform, we shall always shrive to promote the automation of process and equipment to meet customer needs and quality standards.
4.    In work attitude, be pragmatic when we do anything. Solve customer problems seriously with care. Solve workflow problems whenever we can.
5.    The ability to develop new products is a symbol for competitive advantage for any enterprise. Each year, we must be able to develop one or some new products widely acceptable by the market.
6.    We must be aware of, and understand, the changes that happen in customer needs and tastes. We shall take active steps to contact customers and work with customers to solve actual problems.


For our company, sustainable development is a path without an end. We must respond to challenges and changes to meet customer requirements with innovative thinking. We must also bear in mind the expectations of customers as they want to see how well we do in corporate governance, the way how we care the environment and how we serve the society. No matter how challenging the world will become, I believe that as long as all the colleagues work together and continue to evolve through the changes, and integrate sustainable thinking into the DNA of Taiway people, we will definitely be a great company that embraces unlimited possibilities.
